Off the southeast coast of Grand Manan is White Head Island, pop. 200. This free ferry connects the two islands.

We spent one night at Point Pringle on the east side of White Head Island and had the area to ourselves, the sole occupants of a set of three cottages. We got up at 5:00am the next morning to view the sunrise on our own private beach, but were greeted with a foggy morning hardly brighter after sunrise than before. There was plenty to see and do the day before, however, such as climbing the rocks near our cottage.
